National Army troops conducted in the north of the country, in the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena, the detention under judicial order of three individuals, accused of belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, among those arrested is alias Pochele, who would be in charge of the storage and distribution of firearms for members of this organization.
The military operation coordinated with the Police and carried out in an inter-institutional manner with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, led the troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Magdalena, to learn through arduous intelligence work the movements of these men in various sectors of the department.
According to initial information, alias Pochele would be linked to the two other men, identified as El Gato and Danielito, in the alleged collection of money from extortion made against merchants in the sector, as well as carrying out, apparently, criminal intelligence to members of productive groups in the region and personnel of the Military Forces.
In addition, this individual is accused of storing and distributing military accessories and war material to members of the criminal organization.
At the time of the arrest, firearms, magazines, ammunition, grenades, communication equipment and approximately 50 million pesos were found by troops.
These people were given to the authorities, where they will be responsible for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possessing firearms, and association to commit crimes.
