These operations are being carried out in the middle of the riots and destruction in the municipalities of Bajo Cauca, Antioquiain the frame of the mining demonstrations.
Soldiers of the Aquiles Joint Task Force, within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, in coordination with the National Police, reported in recent days the arrest of alias El Flaco and the surrender to justice of another individual, alleged members of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the municipalities of Cáceres and Tarazá, Antioquia.
Alias El Flaco was arrested in the village of Puerto Bélgica, in the municipality of Cáceres. This individual had in his possession an explosive device, with which he constrained merchants and the inhabitants of the urban area, forcing them to participate in mining demonstrations; he would in the same way serve as the urban ringleader of the Yeison Leudo Chaverra substructure of the aforementioned illegal group. He would in the same way be responsible for kidnappings and forced recruitment in the region.
In the same way, he would be in charge of ordering two of his subordinates in the villages of Puerto Bélgica and Jardín Tamaná, in the municipality of Cáceres, to constrain civilians, forcing them to leave for the marches, as well as the closure of commercial establishments.
On the other hand, in the municipality of Tarazá, Antioquia, it was possible to achieve the voluntarily surrender to justice of an individual, who was working as a member of the focused criminal component of the same substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the municipality of Cáceres, Antioquia, this would be in charge of carrying out criminal activities against the Military Forces, in addition to constraining the inhabitants to close their businesses and participate in the demonstrations for the mining strike.
