The National Army, fulfilling its purpose of helping the most vulnerable population, works with different agencies to satisfy some unsatisfied basic needs of the communities, such as the indigenous community Chenche Balsillas, in Coyaima, Tolima, which has an educational institution that benefits 268 children of the community but it did not have the necessary elements to provide a decent education.
In the same way, within the framework of Operation Artemisa, that seeks to reforest for the care of the environment, and by request of the community, 200 native trees of the region will be planted in the coming days.
Misael Prada Loaiza, principal of the indigenous school, highlighted: "I want to thank the National Army for this valuable contribution that makes us today. Reaching our modest community is very important for us. I feel very happy. I feel supported by the authorities, in this case, the National Army for their contribution and their accompaniment. This means that we are leading projects and that is very valuable to build peace”.
