About 150 indigenous children and adolescents benefited of these donations that will provide comfort in their classrooms.
With the aim of strengthening the bonds of partnership with the communities of the north of the country, troops of the National Army in coordination with the Recupera Tu Silla Foundation, made the distribution of desks and school kits to the children and adolescents of the Katanzama and Cacahualito indigenous people, established in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Guachaca, Magdalena.
The activity supported by the Comprehensive Action Battalion No.1, managed to make the donation of 100 desks and 160 school kits to about 150 children of these ethnic communities, who thanked the coordinated work conducted by non-profit foundations and the Army for providing tools to children for the optimal learning in the classroom.
During the event there were activities of balloon twisting, puppet show and the distribution of snacks to families and attendees of this activity.
It is planned that these donations will continue to be made in other sectors of the department of Magdalena and Atlántico, which will contribute to generate well-being and development in the communities of the north of the country.
