With the intention of reforesting some areas of Simíti, Bolívar, the National Army and the Program Fe en Colombia worked in coordination with the Agrarian Bank, the municipal mayor's office and the National Police.
Due to deforestation caused by activities such as agriculture, livestock and the improper use of wood, soldiers of the Joint Task Force Marte, the Jungle Battalion No.48 and the Comprehensive Action Battalion No.1 together with other State institutions, contribute a grain of sand to counteract this problem with the planting of more than 400 plants on the La Y settlement of the municipality of Simíti, Bolívar.
Seedlings of trees native to the region such as Yellow Guayacan, Pink Acacia, Gualanday and Golden Rain were planted in the sector. Some of these trees were used in the recovery of water sources, forests and others for landscape beautification.
