The properties, located in the northern rural area of the department of Antioquia, would be valued at more than three billion pesos
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plan and as part of an inter-institutional operation, the National Army and the Attorney General's Office achieved an important operational result in the Urabá subregion of Antioquia, where 288 hectares belonging to Jesús Ignacio Roldán, alias Monoleche, were intervened for expropriation purposes.
This operation was carried out in the hamlets Trementino and El Pozo, of the municipality of San Pedro de Urabá, where troops of the Seventeenth Brigade and personnel of the Attorney General's Office of the Nation implemented precautionary measures on four rural properties costing more than three billion pesos.
This operation was carried out thanks to the investigative work of the Attorney General's Office and the support of the Army troops, who came to this rural area of difficult access to proceed on the corresponding procedures aimed at striking the properties, apparently obtained with money from drug trafficking and other illicit activities.
The properties have been put into custody of the authorities with the aim of allocating them to the reparation of the victims of these groups outside the law. Likewise, the National Army will continue to unify efforts to neutralize the factors of instability and it also works to raise the protection and defense of the inhabitants of the Urabá region in Antioquia and Chocó.
