Marine Infantry and Coast Guard units of the Colombian Navy, as part of an operation against the transnational crime of drug trafficking, found four transitory collection centers, used to store narcotics, in the sector known as Puerto Caiman, municipality of Tubará - Atlántico. In these places, 41 sacks with 1,217 rectangular packages were found by troops, which apparently contained illicit substances.
The material was extracted of the hiding places and taken to a safe place, where personnel of the Technical Investigation Corps – CTI of the Attorney General's Office carried out the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, leaving positive result for 1,215 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
It is estimated that this illegal merchandise would have a cost of more than 40 million dollars, representing this operation a significant blow to the finances of the drug trafficking structures that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean and damaging their criminal capacity.
