During this activity, 1,200 medical and dental services were provided.
In a Naval Aviation aircraft, 300 kilograms of cashew nuts were transported to support the productive projects of the peasants.
Thanks to the inter-institutional work carried out by the Colombian Navy, the Amor y Sonrisas Foundation and different State institutions, more than 2,200 people from Puerto Carreño and the village of Casuarito, in Vichada, benefited with free medical and dental care.
Naval aviation aircraft and surface units of the Colombian Navy were in charge of taking the Sailors, navy men and volunteers to these corners of the Colombian Orinoquia, where 1,200 treatments were provided in medicine, dentistry, psychology, vaccination, among others, mainly benefiting the Sikuani and Amorúa indigenous communities.
During this Development Support Activity, a ton of humanitarian aid was distributed, corresponding to medicines, presents and Bienestarina (food supplement). Recreational activities, characterization of older adults and affiliations to the senior program were in the same way carried out. In addition, 300 kilograms of cashew nuts were transported from Puerto Carreño to Bogotá on a Naval Aviation aircraft to support the productive projects of the peasants of the region.
This humanitarian activity was carried out for three days thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Navy, the Mayor's Office of Puerto Carreño, the Amor y Sonrisas Foundation, the Vichada Governorate, the San Juan de Dios Departmental Hospital, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing - ICBF, the Nueva EPS (HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDER) and the National Police.
