As part of the joint work carried out by the Military Forces to benefit the most vulnerable communities throughout the national territory, added to the coordination of efforts with government institutions and the private sector, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Colombian Navy arrived at Timbiquí in the department of Cauca, with a great Activity of Support for Development.
The activity led by the Air Combat Command No.7, the Military Transport Air Command and the Foundation of the musical group Herencia de Timbiquí, count on the participation of Professional Reserve Officers and volunteers from different health specialties, to provide medical assistance to children, youth, adults and seniors for a day at the Santa Clara de Asís School in this municipality. In this activity it was possible to conduct 1,925 assistances in services of general medicine, gynecology, dermatology, orthopedics, physiotherapy, speech therapy, gerontology, psychology; in addition to recreation, legal advice, pharmacy, distribution of donations and hairdressing.
For the movement of these health professionals and logistics personnel from Bogotá and Cali to Timbiquí, the Aerospace Force sent a C-295 aircraft of the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM. In the same way, the success of this activity was possible with the joint work and alliance with different institutions such as the foundation of the Herencia de Timbiquí association, the Mayor's Office of Timbiquí, Civil Defense, Red Cross, Catalina Muñoz Foundation, Cardioclinic Foundation, Angeles por Colombia Foundation, University Libre of Colombia, Supertiendas Cañaveral, Ecoderma and the Eleganza Academy.
The people of Timbiquí benefited from this activity, thanked all the members of these institutions, for their commitment and attitude of service in such works given to the inhabitants of this municipality of the Department of Cauca.
