With this operation, the illicit activities and the drug trafficking chain in the department are directly hit.
Within the framework of military operations framed in the Ayacucho Plan, soldiers of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, in the department of Norte de Santander found two laboratories for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, which would cost more than 3,000 million pesos.
The first operation was carried out on the village El Líbano, municipality of Durania, where 7 rustic structures were found by troops containing more than 190 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and more than 30 kilos of coca base paste. In this place there were in the same way more than 1,800 gallons of liquid chemical substance and more than 180 kilograms of solid substances, as well as abundant elements for the production of narcotics.
On the other hand, in the village La Uchema, municipality of Villa del Rosario, 5 structures were found by troops with more than 110 kilos of drugs, more than 490 gallons of liquid supplies and other supplies and materials.
These laboratories would have the capacity to produce more than three tons of the drug per month, so the illicit finances of outlaw groups are directly hit.
The residual organized armed group Structura 33 is interfering in the area. The laboratories were destroyed in the area under controlled conditions.
