Around 2,200 beneficiaries was the report of the Development Support Activity, carried out during the weekend in the municipality of Santa Rita, municipality of Ituango, in Antioquia, in which the Colombian Air Force, the Army, the Navy and the National Police, US-AID, the Government of Antioquia and the Somer Foundation provided assistance to the people of this area of the north of the Department.
Black Hawk helicopters of the Air Combat Command No.5 transported aid, medicines and more than 36 specialists in psychology, gynecology, ophthalmologist, pediatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, among others. They are part of the Reserve of Professional Officers of the COLOMBIAN AIR FORCE and the Army and provided their health services, serving children, youth and adults, improving their quality of life.
The distribution of computers, Eco cradles of the “Santiago Milagro de Vida” Foundation, donations and presents was completed with playful activities that teach the healthy coexistence as a basis of the values of the human being.
The Colombian Air Force will continue to be present with activities like this one that bring health, education and recreation to the most vulnerable populations of the department.
