In an activity of Unified operation of the State, men and women of the Caribbean Naval Force, on board the Ship ARC “Boca Grande” and officials of the Cartagena Mayor's Office, will carry this weekend about 100,000 gallons of drinking water for the inhabitants of Bocachica, Tierra Bomba, Punta Arena and Caño de Oro, in the Insular Region.
This significant initiative takes place within the framework of the prevention campaigns to face the coronavirus COVID-19, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, in order to safeguard the lives of the inhabitants.
For 4 days, a Colombian Navy ship will be in charge of bringing the precious natural resource and well-being to the inhabitants, who have proactively joined the prevention campaigns, contributing to a healthy and safe environment to prevent the spread of this virus.
The Colombian Navy with the #CorazónAzuLado invites citizens to join the #EstáEnTusManos campaign, in order to make responsible use of drinking water and contribute to the non-propagation of the COVID-19, while ratifying its commitment to coordinate State efforts to promote the well-being and development of the most vulnerable populations in the Colombian Caribbean.
