In order to strengthen cooperation, the Air Maintenance Command (CAMAN) opened its doors to 13 military secretaries from foreign attaché offices, such as Chile, Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico and Turkey, who had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the aircraft maintenance and repair processes carried out by this command.
Colonel Javier Jiménez, Commander of the CAMAN, extended a welcome to the military diplomats and invited them to participate in a guided tour by the hangars and workshops, in the same way highlighted the history and legacy of the Air Unit in its 100 years of foundation, reaffirming the commitment to logistical support and excellence of military operations.
During the tour, the resources in the maintenance of helicopter and planes were highlighted, through the various workshops, including electrochemistry, flir, hydraulics and T-53 engines, as well as aircraft and helicopter hangars where the exhaustive process of disassembling the aircraft to verify each part of its structure and systems was highlighted; it is important to say that this exhaustive work ensures optimal conditions and safety.
This meeting not only strengthens the ties of cooperation of Colombia and the countries represented, but in the same way lays the foundations for working together to solve common conflicts in the region and globally.
