The individuals would be part of the residual organized armed group Substructure “First”, which commits crimes in the region.
Troops of the Task Force Quiron, deployed throughout the department of Arauca, could gave a new and powerful blow to illegal groups that commit crimes in this area of the country, with the death in development of military operations of two members of the residual organized armed group Substructure “Primera”.
The effective military operation was carried out in the village El Mordisco, in the municipality of Fortúl, when the individuals were carrying a 9-millimeter pistol, a 38-millimeter revolver and 21 cartridges and were conducting an illegal checkpoint on the road axis that connects the aforementioned municipality with Tame, in the department of Arauca; when they noticed the presence of the troops they opened fire.
The individuals, known by the aliases 'Elián' and 'Gordo Camilo', perpetrated in their criminal structure burning of vehicles, robberies, extortion of the money of the transporters and the installation of tricks to attack on the Security forces.
