Through intelligence work, monitoring, community support and coordination with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, the National Police and military brigades, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) during the last week, important criminal structures have been weakened.
Among the operations with the greatest impact carried out by the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Cundinamarca, increasingly weakening the residual Organized Armed Group Structure 6, it was possible to capture three individuals in Cali, who were a threat in the community as they were perpetrating crimes of kidnapping and murder. It is noteworthy that these individuals were responsible for the kidnapping of the 40-year-old Irish foreigner.
Another of the noteworthy operations was the one carried out by the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Bol铆var in coordination with the National Police in Armenia, in the municipality of Pinillos, where 6 individuals belonging to the organized group, GAO, Clan del Golfo were captured, in the very moment when they received 5 million pesos of an extortion.
