Barranco de Loba, Hatillo de Loba, San Martín de Loba and Mompo are some of the municipalities where the campaign I do not pay, I denounce, of the Bolivar Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) has been carried out.
As part of the campaign Yo no pago, Yo denuncio (I do not pay, I denounce) in recent months, troops of the Unified operation Group for Freedom, Military Gaula, (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Bolivar, of the Colombian Navy, have been increasing and strengthening activities and operations aimed at prevent and act against extortion and kidnapping in the south of the department of Bolivar, steadily focusing the operations against these threats.
As part of the efforts in the fight against Organized Armed Groups and common crime that commit crimes in the department, two detachments of this Special Unit of the Military Forces, made up of highly qualified men to carry out rescue operations of kidnapped and dismantling of criminal organizations, have been deployed in the municipalities of Barranco de Loba, Hatillo de Loba, San Martín de Loba and Mompox.
In coordination with members of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, citizen awareness and brochures are being carried out, with the aim of providing support, advice and useful information to residents on how to report and help combat crimes such as extortion, kidnapping, smuggling and drug trafficking, which attack with the security of the region.
“As Security forces we continue to intensify our operations against groups outlaw, for this purpose we have put in operation all our resources and human talent throughout this 2020 to ensure Fundamental Rights such as life and personal freedom. We tell the inhabitants of Bolívar to count on us, our commitment goes with you, and do not hesitate to denounce through the emergency line 147 any crime of extortion or kidnapping that threatens safety and well-being," said Major of Navy Infantry, Gustavo Rojas Posada, Commander of the Bolivar Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group).
