In recent hours the Military Gaula Ariari, in coordination with the 18th specialized Prosecutor's Office of Granada, Meta and the Sijin of the National Police, arrest the financial ringleader of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo known by the alias of Paracosucio.
After several months of investigation and through anti-kidnapping and anti-extortion operations, it was possible to arrest by court order one of the most wanted individuals in the department of Meta, being responsible for the collection of money from extortions of ranchers, merchants and also selective murders in the region.
Alias Paracosucio had served as head of the Urban Network of the ERPAC (Popular Revolutionary Anti-Subversive Army of Colombia), in the municipalities of Villavicencio, San Martin, Granada and others, mainly in the Bajo and Alto Ariari.
Currently, he focused his criminal activities in the municipality of Puerto Lleras and Puerto Rico, in the department of Meta, where he served as head of finance for the GAO Clan del Golfo after the arrest alias Coyote. Alias Paracosucio is responsible for the crimes of aggravated extortion, homicide and drug trafficking.
