After an extraordinary security council, held at the headquarters of the Mayor's Office of Cartagena del Chairá, the military and civil authorities of the region sent a message of tranquility to the civilians of this region of the center of the department of Caquetá.
It was agreed there that after the operational deployment carried out by the Military Forces and given the current security conditions, which have led to the restoration of commercial and daily activities of its inhabitants, the relevant steps will be taken to re-establish the telecommunications signal that had been hit by the criminal operation of the organized armed groups that commit crimes there.
In the same way, with the constant existence and at strategic checkpoints of troops of the National Army, the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the support by unmanned aircraft and helicopters of the Colombian Air Force for real-time monitoring of the region, work will be done in a harmonious way with the objective of raising the security and protection of civilians, as well as governance.
In the same way, operations will continue to be carried out against the various organized armed groups that commit crimes there with the aim of continuing to weaken their logistical and criminal structures.
