In the operation in which the Colombian Navy, the National Army, the Colombian Air Force and the Attorney General's Office participated, a worth hideout was also found.
In Timbiquí, Cauca, during a joint and inter-agency operation conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Army, the Colombian Air Force and the Attorney General's office, more than 60 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 550 million pesos and war and communications equipment belonging to a drug trafficking Organized Gang were seized.
Complying with a court order, members of the Attorney General's Office aboard aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 7 of the Colombian Air Force, troops of the Battalion Against Drug Trafficking No. 2 of the National Army and troops of the Navy Battalion No. 42, attached to Navy Brigade No. 2, arrived to the municipality of Playa Chacon, general area of the municipality of Timbiquí in the department of Cauca, where were found the drugs and money inside several abandoned houses that were used as storage centers.
In the first house, in the middle of sacks of coconuts, troops found hidden rectangular packages that contained 63 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride with which more than 60 thousand doses of hallucinogens could be distributed.
Continuing with the search work on a second home, 550 million pesos were found by troops inside a suitcase. A shotgun, a revolver, 15 cartridges of different calibers and two communication radios were also found under a bed and inside a closet.
The material found was taken to the facilities of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 42 in the municipality of Guapi, Cauca, to put into custody of the authorities. During the operation no captures were reported.
