The quick operation of the authorities led to have the minor being released in less than two hours.
In a coordinated operation by the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, the release of a 17–year-old boy who had been held against his will in Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca was carried out.
At the moment of receiving the denunciation from his parents, troops of the Buenaventura Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Police and personnel of the Technical Investigation Corps - CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), acted within the framework of the Intervention Plan in the Buenaventura Special District, activated the Padlock plan and initiated the search for the minor who had been forced by armed men to board a taxi in the locality seven of this District.
Thanks to the pressure exerted by the Military Forces, in less than two hours the young man was released, for whom the criminals demanded 200 million pesos in exchange for his release.
The child was reunited with his family, who thanked the quick operation of the Military Forces.
