Joint, coordinated and interagency operations were carried out in the municipalities of Tibú and Cúcuta.
In an operation against drug trafficking, troops of the National Army, in a joint operation with the Colombian Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and the support of the Attorney General's office, hit the structures that perpetrated drug trafficking.
In the village of Bocas de San Miguel, in the municipality of Tibú, a laboratory for cocaine hydrochloride production that would belong to the residual organized armed group, Gao-R, in Spanish, Structure 33, which had a capacity to produce three tons of cocaine per month. At the site troops found around 790 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride ready to be transported and marketed. Taking into account the dimensions of this laboratory, the precursors and the machinery, it is estimated that the blow to this GAO-r is approximately 4.600 million pesos.
In the same way, in the framework of this operation and in territorial control operations, in the Village Los Vados, rural area of the municipality of Los Patios, it was possible to find 570 kilograms of creepy type marijuana. The operation carried out by troops of the Second Division, in coordination with the DIRAN Criminal Investigation Group, Regional 5, led to the finding of what would become 570,000 doses of psychoactive substances valued at 1,710,000 pesos, and which would belong to the GAO Los Pelusos. It should be noted that what this group intends, with its criminal operation along the strategic mobility route of the border, is to market narcotics in Central America and Europe.
