Two rifles, ammunition, military accessories and communications equipment were found by troops in the incident. This group is accused of criminal operations against the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
Within the framework of military operations framed within the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan-Tiempo 2-, and conducted against the criminal phenomena in the southeast of the country, the Military Forces neutralized the threat posed by alias Stiven, a dangerous ringleader and member of the Armando Ríos structure of the FARC dissidents, which commits crimes in the department of Guaviare and whose top ringleader is alias Ivan Mordisco for whom a reward of more than three billion pesos is offered.
The incident occurred in a rural area of the municipality of Calamar, Guaviare. Members of Colombian National Army Military Forces arrived at the scene with the support of the Colombian Air Force, guided by information provided by the Army and the Police, there a combat took place against members of that residual organized armed group who were carrying out criminal operations against the inhabitants.
Thanks to a series of maneuvers and with the differential training of the troops, the illegal group undertook to escape. As a result of the combat, a dangerous lieutenant of the Armando Ríos structure of the FARC dissidents was killed during military operations.
The other members of that illegal group fled the site leaving the lifeless body of their comrade abandoned and some of them changed into civilian clothes to hide among the inhabitants and prevent arrest.
Alias Stiven was a recognized and dangerous lieutenant of alias Ivan Mordisco in the department of Guaviare. It has been possible to establish he committed crimes by the municipalities of Calamar and Miraflores, as well as in Caruru, Vaupés. It has been established that he had participated as the mastermind and perpetrator of the murder of 22-year-old Zayra Enciso, a recognized social, cultural and sports leader in Miraflores, Guaviare, in events that occurred on April 20. He is in the same way accused of being responsible for the murder of two young people in Caruru, Vaupés, on August 11 of this year. In addition, he committed multiple crimes against the inhabitants such as forced recruitment of minors, displacement, homicides, extortion, threats against social leaders and the installation of anti-personnel mines and explosive devices.
After the perimeter search and the urgent operations carried out by the Attorney General's Office, the authorities found two rifles, about 300 units of ammunition, military accessory material and communications equipment, as well as a camp area with capacity for about forty individuals, who specialized in extortion, kidnapping and drug trafficking under the direction of alias Ivan Mordisco.
This result represents an important damage against the logistical and criminal networks of this illegal group that commits crimes in that border area of the departments of Guaviare and Meta, thus preventing them from carrying out more criminal and terrorist operations that disturb the well-being of the communities that inhabit there.
In the area of the events, the Military forces, by air and land, strengthened the security operation with the aim of finding the other members of that structure who fled in the middle of the operation.
