Three individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto while transporting the material. One of them would be alias Mono Didier, alleged head of the Marco Aurelio Buendía finance group of the EMC-FARC. A minor of age was recovered and put into custody of the authorities for the restoration of his rights.
Within the framework of stability operations framed in the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan, the Military Forces arrested in flagrante delicto three individuals who were transporting abundant war materiel, military accessories and communications, in the rural area of San Vicente del Caguán, northern region of Caquetá.
On board a van-type vehicle, these individuals carried six rifles, seven hand grenades, a pistol, more than 1,200 units of ammunition and magazines of different calibers; olive green uniforms, campaign backpacks, vests, T-shirts and pixelated camouflage fabric; as well as GPS, communications radios, cell phones and material alluding to the Iván Díaz Front of the so-called Central Staff of the FARC Dissidents.
These individuals were in the same way found to have in their possession more than $8,000,000 COP in cash, stamps, checkbooks and notebooks that would account for the collection of money from extortion of money made against the inhabitants, transporters, ranchers and merchants of the region.
Among those arrested would be the third ringleader of the finance group of the so-called Central Staff of the FARC Dissidents, known as alias Mono Didier, who would have the mission of getting this material to the armed structure, to support the confrontations they hold against factions of the Second Marquetalia for criminal control of the Eastern Cordillera regions.
In this operation, a minor was recovered and subsequently taken to the Children and Adolescents Police of Florencia, for the restoration of his rights. The arrested material and individuals were put into custody of the authorities to continue the respective judicial procedure.
With this important result, the logistical and criminal networks of this illegal organization are hit hard and the carrying out of terrorist attacks against civilians and the Military Forces is thwarted.
In the area where the arrests and the finding took place, the Colombian Military Forces are in continuous military operations with the aim of continuing to reduce the illegal operations of organized armed groups.
