Guaviare. Troops of the Joint Task Force Omega, through an operation of territorial control conducted in the hamlet Monserrate, municipality of San Jos茅 del Guaviare, achieve the discovery and later destruction of an illegal hideout that contained more than 4,000 kg of improvised explosive devices, 14 antipersonnel mines, 12 detonators and a firearm.
Thanks to the joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work of the men of the Army, National Navy, Colombian Air Force and National Police, the troops reach the point and, through search techniques of the Exde anti-explosive group, they found the hideout that was in the middle of a jungle area.
The material belonged to the Organized Armed Group, Seventh Front, and would be used to attack on the civilian population and the troops in the municipality of San Jos茅 del Guaviare.
Recently, in this region, four attempts of terrorist operations by this Residual Organized Armed Group have been thwarted, destroying approximately 20 tons of explosive devices in a joint effort of the Public Force.
