In the course of a coordinated and interagency operation conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to arrest 10 people in the departments of Sucre and C贸rdoba, who were allegedly at the service of the Manuel Jos茅 Gait谩n substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The operation was carried out in compliance with eight court orders for crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes for drug trafficking purposes in the urban area of the municipalities of Sincelejo, Sampu茅s and Tol煤 (Sucre), where troops of the Colombian Navy and units of the Judicial Investigation Section of the Police-SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) arrested five men and three women, who were found by troops with 11 mobile phone equipment and a motorcycle.
Those arrested were allegedly part of a support group serving the Manuel Jos茅 Gait谩n substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, which commits crimes in the subregion of the Gulf of Morrosquillo and the Sucre帽a savanna; he would be perpetrating the strengthen of the finances of this Organized Armed Group through the sale of narcotics in various municipalities of Sucre.
Simultaneously, two other individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto, one of them in the rural area of the municipality of Chin煤 (C贸rdoba), who was found with a revolver calibre 38 mm and 13 cartridges, the other individual was arrested in the municipality of Tolu (Sucre), who found different doses of drugs.
These persons will be prosecuted for the offences of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying firearms, ammunition and/or accessories and trafficking in the manufacture or carrying of narcotic drugs; they have been put into custody of the judicial authorities in order to continue with the prosecution process.
