The binational operation that took place in the framework of the military and police campaign Atlas and the Binational Bifunctional Commission - COMBIFROM - which acts as an international cooperation mechanism for the border security, signed by the two countries, led to a maneuver of interdiction on a boat, blue with three 75 HP engines, without name and without registration, which would be loaded with alkaloids to go to Central America.
After the inspection of the ship, troops found 31 large sacks with 1,212 compact packages inside, Anti-narcotics Police confirmed it was cocaine hydrochloride. In the motor ship, troops also found 39 plastic barrels of fuel with a capacity of 18 gallons each; they were traveling without the corresponding permits for their transportation.
The four people related to this incident, including two Ecuadorians, one Mexican and one Colombian, were captured and put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of Tumaco in the department of Nari帽o, to carry out the corresponding judicial proceedings for the alleged crime of traffic, manufacture and carrying of narcotics.
