More than 700 families benefited from different health, beauty and recreation services.
With the arrival of 70 specialists of the area of health, veterinary and beauty, the development support activity began in the municipality of La Macarena, Meta, where through comprehensive and unified operation within the framework of the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan –Tiempo2 - the Omega Joint Task Force, joined together with the Meta Governorate, the municipal mayor's office, different institutions and foundations, to work to provide different benefits to the inhabitants.
After an hour of travel in an aircraft of the Colombian Aerospace Force, personnel of the foundations Meta Visible, Donating and helping, ACRES, Solidarity For Colombia, FUNDINSO, Government of Meta, Professional Reserve Officers of Colombian National Army and the Battalion of Comprehensive operation and Development Nº4, arrived in the municipality of La Macarena, with a distance of 225 kilometers away with health equipment and elements, medicines, games, bicycles, material to donate, food, school kits and specialists in different areas of health and beauty.
"We continue to reaffirm our commitment to reaching the most remote communities with effective operations that respond to their most urgent needs," said Brigadier General Oscar del Cristo Díaz Montiel, Commander of Rapid Deployment Force No. 1.
During this activity, the inhabitants of the rural and urban area of the area, were benefited with services in general medicine, pediatrics, general dentistry, visual screening, gynecology, nursing, psychology, nutrition, optometry, geriatrics, urology, physiotherapy, among others; in the same way, sterilization of felines and dogs was conducted.
With words of gratitude, the beneficiaries of the Development Support Activity expressed: "Thank you, National Army, for coming to our territory. You will always be welcome in our community. Thank you."
Through the specialty of Comprehensive operation, the Military Forces generate a comprehensive benefice to the most remote and vulnerable communities of our country and ratify the continuous commitment for the communities.
