Alias Visaje, with more than 10 years of criminal records, would in the same way be involved in the different confrontations over the illegal control of the territory currently held by the GAO Clan del Golfo against the Eln and the FARC dissidents in the south of Bolivar.
In the framework of territorial control operation and institutional operations framed within the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan -Tiempo 2-, the Military Forces, obtained an important result against the logistical and criminal structures of the Clan del Golfo.
According to the first information, in the village of Las Brisas, a rural area of the municipality of Santa Rosa del Sur, Bolivar, units in the area fighting against members of the Edgar de Jesús Madrid substructure of that organized armed group, which is accused of various criminal operations such as homicide, extortion, displacement and forced recruitment, as well as drug trafficking and illicit exploitation of mining sites.
As a result of the operation, a member of the GAO Clan del Golfo died during military operations, three were arrested, three rifles, military accessories, bracelets and more than 1500 pieces of ammunition of different calibers were found by troops. One of the detainees is alias Visaje or Alacrán, a dangerous 30-year-old ringleader of that organized armed group, who had spent 10 years criminal activities.
According to information collected, this individual would have participated in the planning and execution of the terrorist attack against a patrol of the Special Forces that was driving between the south of Bolívar and the northeast of Antioquia, where four members of the security forces were killed and 17 more were wounded last February.
He is in the same way accused of the murder of a social leader and two peasants, in April 2024. That action generated the forced displacement of more than 100 families in Morales and Santa Rosa del Sur, Bolivar. In the same way, he would be involved in the murder of Narciso Beleño, president of the Agro-mining Federation of the South of Bolívar, who was the leader of his community.

In the area where the events took place, the General Command of the Military Forces sent an additional operation to strengthen and reinforce security, as well as to find the other members of those criminal structures that have caused so much damage to the inhabitants.
