According to information of the authorities, this individual appears in judicial process in Florida, United States, where he is wanted for the crime of illicit drug trafficking.
Within the framework of control operations and institutional presence, the Military forces arrested alias Meco or El Compita, who, apparently, was the coordinator drug shipments from Cauca bound for the Central and North American drug trafficking cartels.
The operation occurred in the vicinity of the San Pedro sector, rural area of Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca. There troops of the Infantry Battalion N.56 of Colombian National Army in conjunction with the Navy Infantry. In a river checkpoint on the Naya River, they stopped a boat, which when verified did not have its documentation up to date. Later and due to verification, they discovered that among the four occupants who were on board was alias Meco or El Compita, an individual that the authorities point out to be the alleged coordinator of the criminal structures of alias Ivan Mordisco, for the shipment of cocaine hydrochloride and marijuana, from the Pacific to Central and North America.
This individual, according to information held by the Colombian and United States authorities, had connections with cartels with whom he negotiated the drug shipments that left from Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Nariño, allegedly generating enormous profits that would exceed 20 billion pesos per month, which were part of the illegal finances of that organization.
The arrested was put into custody of the authorities so that they can conduct the respective legal process for his extradition to a Federal Court of the United States, where he will have to face charges for the crime of drug trafficking.
