In compliance with the Heroes de la Libertad Bicentenary campaign plan, the Hercules Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force, in development of military operations, with its land component of the National Army, decisively harm the Organized Armed Groups, which commit crimes in the Nariño Pacific, with the arrest of an individual, the recovery of a minor and the finding of war material in rural Tumaco district, Nariño.
In the first operation, troops of the Jungle Battalion No.53, receive information of the community, stating that two men would be conducting illegal checkpoints on the village, The Gualtal district of Tumaco, where the troops arrived and made the arrest of two individuals belonging to the GAO residual Oliver Sinisterra, one of them a minor, who was in possession of two rifles.
The minor was put into custody of the juvenile detention center in Pasto, while the arrested individual was handed over to the authorities for the respective prosecution.
In the second military operation, carried out in a rural area of the same municipality, it was possible to find and destroy an illegal hideout belonging to the residual GAO Urías Rondón, where four pistols, a revolver, ammunition, an explosive device and communications material were found.
