After saying that the Military Forces will use all their resources to accompany the National Vaccination Plan, President Iván Duque said that this was one of the objectives of the Minister of Defense, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, and that, in his honor, “we will always carry it out successfully”.
The head of State said this Wednesday, in the television program Prevencion y Accion, that this work was being carried out by Trujillo García in harmonious collaboration with other ministries.
In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Jairo García, said that the security framework strategy was designed with the Ministry of Health and other institutions related to the National Vaccination Plan.
Garcia explained that one of the components of that strategy is “the detection of any risk or threat that may hit the vaccination Plan”.

The official in the same way reported that work will be carried out in the territories with unified command checkpoints, for which “we will coordinate all operations related to the accompaniment of the Military Forces to transport, storage and, of course, implement the vaccination plan.”
He spoke about another point of the Security Framework which is based on the security zones to be established at storage sites and vaccination sites, both in rural and urban areas.
Finally, the Deputy Minister of Defense said that the Military Forces will be accompanying since the very arrival the transport of vaccines, so that “we can start, with all the tranquility and with all the security, this vaccination Plan.”
