In order to prevent the shortage of fuel in Tumaco, Nariño, in recent days, the Colombian Navy escorted two tankers that sailed of the city of Buenaventura with 132,000 gallons of fuel. Similarly, maritime security support was provided to a boat carrying 1,000,000 gallons of fuel from the Caribbean coast to its destination in Tumaco.
In this way, the Colombian Navy contributes to the protection of the rights of the inhabitants of the Colombian Pacific, whose only way to obtain elements is by sea through boats that Transport different goods to the most remote areas of this region.
This type of support is possible thanks to the differential resources of the Naval Institution in the Colombian Pacific, the high degree of training of its crew and the commitment that unites Colombian sailors in favor of the well-being and security of the communities of this region of the country.
