In the framework of the community integration activities carried out by the Navy of Colombia, a strategic meeting was held with the Isla Gallinazo Indigenous Community, in Coveñas, Sucre, led by the Commander of the Marine Infantry Training Base, general brigadier of the Infantry of the Navy Ricardo Ernesto Vargas Cuéllar in order to know their needs firsthand and strengthen ties of partnership and cooperation.
This meeting managed to finalize a work agenda for the year 2019, in order to provide support to the community with activities aimed at support education and sport.
The Colombian Navy seeks to strengthen ties of fraternity with the indigenous communities of the Gulf of Morrosquillo, supporting youth in their entrepreneurship initiatives, who are a priority in assistance to our society working hand in hand with our indigenous peoples, respecting their rights and protecting the Blue color of the Flag.
