Due to the rainy season over the eastern plains, the people of Villavicencio are suffering from problems in the water supply as a result of the loss of the outlet valve that supplies this liquid to the city, for this reason a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the Air Combat Command No.2 of the Colombian Aerospace Force is carrying out the transportation of material that will fix the damage caused to the aqueduct.
Several external cargo missions have been carried out with a 33” and six meter long pipe, a thermofusion equipment and a power generator to the village El Palmar of the municipality El Calvario, Meta, which must be transported by air taking into account the difficulties of the geography of the region.
The heavy rainfall of the last few days generated a rising in the Guayuriba and Guatiquía rivers, the latter being the cause of serious damages line which transports water from the outlet valve to the treatment plant of this vital liquid that supplies the city of Villavicencio.
In the coming days, pipeline transport missions will continue to be carried out, which, due to their large dimensions, must be carried out on different flights. The Colombian Aerospace Force will have both air and personnel resources to support in the recovery of the regular water supply for the city.
