Colombian Navy units found more than 600 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in a bongo - like structure on the banks of the municipality of Sitio Nuevo-Magdalena.
The result was achieved after the units were alerted on the work of a suspicious ship.
Immediately, Rapid Reaction Units of the Barranquilla Coast Guard Station went to the place accompanied by Judicial Police units of the DIJIN, they inspected the boat without registration and without name, finding inside 20 black suitcases that stored the packages with the illicit substance.
The Approved Preliminary Identification Test was conducted, and the result was positive for 603 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. There were no arrests during the operation.
With this finding, it was possible to prevent more than $ 20 million dollars from entering the narcoterrorist structures of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region. To date, units of the Caribbean Naval Force have found more than 150 tons of cocaine in the Caribbean.
