In the last few hours, during a military search and area control operation, in the rural area of Solano, Caquetá, units of the Military Forces engaged combat against a group of the Carolina Ramírez structure of the so-called Central Staff of the FARC dissidents.
In this operation, there was the death in the framework of military operations of an individual and the recovery of a minor only 15 years old, who had been forcibly recruited.
According to what has been established, the dead person would be alias Gato or Mono, a dangerous criminal who was accused, among other crimes, of the massacre of four indigenous children in the south of the country, at the end of last May.
The fact, which caused the indignation of the whole country and international organizations, occurred since four minors belonging to the Murui indigenous people, in Putumayo, were forcibly recruited by that gang. Later they fled of the ranks of the armed group, in the Los Estrechos sector, in the municipality of Solano in the department of Caquetá. That is when they are intercepted by members of the Carolina Ramirez group who killed them.
As a result of this, the Temporary National Bilateral Ceasefire conducted by the National Government and the so-called Central Staff of the FARC dissidents got troubled.
According to information of the authorities, this individual had a criminal experience of more than 15 years as a member of the FARC and served as head of the personal security of alias Alonso 45, head of the Central General Staff. He was in the same way in charge of logistical and military issues for individuals such as alias Danilo Alvizú, the main ringleader of the Carolina Ramírez structure of the FARC dissidents. Alias Gato is in the same way accused of operations of illegal recruitment of minors, indigenous people and peasants in Caquetá, Putumayo and Amazonas.
The structure under the orders of this individual was in charge of constraint activities and constant threats against the communities, including the Murui indigenous reserve in the Los Estrechos sector in Putumayo, as well as being the author of direct extortions to ranchers, merchants, transporters and petroleum companies.
In the same way, it was known that this dangerous criminal was leading the confrontations against the Comandos de Frontera group of the Second Marquetalia in Caquetá and Putumayo, which has left a large number of dead men on both sides.
The material found was put into custody of the authorities for the respective prosecution process. Meanwhile, the recovered minor will be given in custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute for the restoration of her rights.
