Thanks to the United States Embassy in Colombia, approximately 65 million pesos were donated in medicines and hospital elements in municipalities in vulnerable conditions in southern Bol铆var.
The Comprehensive Action and Development Command of the National Army, in a multilateral effort with the United States Embassy in Colombia, managed around 65 million pesos for medicines and hospital elements, which were transported from Bogot谩 to southern Bol铆var to be distributed in two municipalities in this region of the country.
Once in this territory, men of the Support Battalion for Comprehensive Action and Development No.1 and the Jungle Battalion No.48 of the First Division, in an inter-institutional work with the civil authorities of the municipality Arenal, carried out the distribution of these elements valued at 45 million pesos, benefiting 10,000 inhabitants in this sector of the department.
In the same way, in Santa Rosa del Sur, a municipality where the Fe en Colombia program conducted by the Joint Task Force Marte and the Support Battalion for Comprehensive Action and Development No.1, the campaign Mi Vereda Modelo is also in progress. This campaign, through the institutional coordination seeks to be an effective sample of unified operation that generates immediate benefits for rural communities. There, in coordination with the E.S.E Hospital Manuel Elkin Patarroyo, a donation of almost 20 million pesos was given to improve the health center of the municipality of Los Canelos, which will benefit almost 5,300 inhabitants.
