The ninth international conference on Doctrine and Lessons Learned was successfully completed. This event, held every year, brought together great experts in the field to present the experiences that armies have gained throughout history to face the particular challenges that arise in the task of improving the security and defense of nations.
During the two days of the conference, the auditorium of the Nueva Granada Military University brought together various exhibitors from Colombia, Brazil, the United States, Chile and Peru. The latter was in charge of Lieutenant Colonel Alberto Castro Villa, deputy director of the Permanent History Group of the Peruvian Army, who spoke about the Ayacucho battle and Hispanic American independence framed in the theory of this decisive battle.
The agenda in the same way included the talk of Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Allen Louck, Head of the Military Forces Assistance Brigade of the United States Army, who spoke about mobility, countermobility and survival, in a particular case, as well as how the way of operating should be adapted according to the enemy's operations. He in the same way highlighted the importance of learning how to use technology.
Meanwhile, Chilean Army Colonel Andrés Nogueira, commander of the Doctrine Division, spoke about the process of generating lessons learned in his country and adapting it so that military personnel of all ranks know how to report events, emphasizing the importance of reaching each generation with a clear and easily understandable language.
The conference in the same way had the participation of the Colombian anthropologist Luis Borrero Forero, who talked about the evolution of uniforms since the independence events.
