The Grupo A茅reo del Casanare, GACAS, is the home to the powerful C-208 Caravan, which is one of the most versatile aircraft of the Colombian Air Force. At this military unit, the maintenance and technical support of the fleet is carried out. These fleet has conducted important missions throughout the national territory.
This is how the Technical Squadron of the Casanare Air Group has the suitable and highly trained personnel of C-208 Caravan inspectors, NCOs who fulfill the mission of supervising the maintenance work carried out on the aircraft according to with the requirements and quality standards established so that the aircraft can fly safely, which leads to the fulfillment of the institutional mission. In the same way, they are in charge of training the team of maintenance chiefs and inspectors of the Air Force.
In 2022, their professionalism, expertise and commitment led them to lead the International Maintenance Course for the C-208 Caravan Equipment and its Engine, to 35 chief maintenance non-commissioned officers at the military bases of the Air Force in Honduras, Guatemala, Panama and Costa Rica, training them in special tools, quality attributes, engine, equipment systems, theoretical and practical instruction, being leaders and benchmarks at a national and international level in aeronautical maintenance training, under the highest quality standards.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force exalts and honors the work of the inspectors of the C 208-Caravan team, who, thanks to their knowledge and experience, contribute to the strengthening of strategic alliances with the Central American Military Forces.
