For the execution of the works, different communal activities were carried out to obtain the materials for this construction projects.
Thanks to the inter-institutional work of our soldiers of the Thirtieth Brigade, it was possible to build and adapt 300 meters of pedestrian way and 60 meters of stairs in the neighborhoods Cristo Rey Bajo and Juan XXIII of the city of Pamplona, Norte de Santander.
For eight days, more than 100 people, regardless of the time and the weather, had all their physical and professional resources to adapt and build this pedestrian path that will led more than 1,600 inhabitants of these neighborhoods to transit safely.
“We are very grateful to the Army that has come to give us a hand to be able to build this road, because it was already a danger for all of us who were passing through here, the road was very destroyed,” are some of the words of gratitude of Mrs. Celina Conde, an inhabitant of the area.
Soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.13 General Custodio García Rovira, the Comprehensive Action Battalion No.2, the radio Station Colombia Estéreo 90.7 FM, Pamplona, the Planning Secretariat, the Mayor's Office of Pamplona, the Community action Board of the neighborhoods and the people of the region.
In this way we will continue to support the people in the department of Norte de Santander, who always find in our soldiers a helping hand to support them when they need it most.
