In a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the Colombian Navy, the maritime interception of a boat carrying a shipment of drugs from the continent to Central America was possible.
Thanks to the support of military intelligence systems and maritime means of the National Navy, constant monitoring of the ship was carried out, which led to the planning of its interception in the waters of the Colombian Caribbean, north of the Island of Providencia.
On the ship were 14 bags with 416 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, several barrels of fuel, 01 Glock pistol, 02 magazines, 35 cartridges, 02 satellite phones, 01 radio transmitter, two GPS and four cell phones.
The crew of the boat were three people of Nicaraguan and Colombian nationalities, who were arrested, and the narcotics and the material were put into custody of the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the National Police.
This operation was carried out thanks to the operational synergy, use of joint Resources and the work of the Colombian Air Force and the National Navy, hitting the finances of the multicrime groups at the service of drug trafficking that commit crimes in the region.
