As part of joint and sustained operations carried out by the Colombian National Army and the Colombian Air Force in the southwest of the country, a structure for the production of coca base paste was found and destroyed, in the municipality of Corinto, Cauca.
Air Combat Command Aircraft No.7 together with the Apolo Operational Command, found this rudimentary structure, which had dimensions of 16 meters long by 8 meters wide and plastic roof, in the village of Buenavista, where coca leaf plantations were found by troops around it.
During the inspection of the place, precursors for the production of this hallucinogenic substance were found by troops, in addition to different equipment for its production, including approximately 2,400 gallons of liquid coca base paste, equivalent to 1,400 kilograms of coca base paste, 05 plastic barrels and two metal ones of 55 gallons, 02 tanks with a capacity of 4,000 liters and inside 46 kilograms of macerated coca leaf, as well as a chopping machine, among other elements, which allegedly belonged to the organized armed group structure Dagoberto Ramos, who commit crimes in that sector.
