In a Caravan C-208 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force, the Amazonas Air Group, from Leticia to the municipality of La Chorrera, transported two doctors and a nurse, as well as 370 kilograms of biomedical security elements and medicines, with the aim of strengthening health care in the area of difficult access.
The health personnel, who will comply with the medical operation in the non-municipal area, during the health emergency by covid-19, were transported under strict biosafety protocols implemented by the Institution for the humanitarian transport of personnel and cargo, as measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The aircraft's crew, using protective elements such as gloves and face masks, landed on the unprepared runway after making a journey of approximately one hour and 50 minutes over the forested area of this region of the country.
