On September 16 and 17, about 500 people, including adults, young people and children of the Barcelona village of Villavicencio, in the department of Meta, enjoyed a weekend full of health, well-being and recreation thanks to the Development Support Activity led by the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Comprehensive Action section of the Air Combat Command No.2, with the support of the Professional Officers Reserve, the Juan N. Corpas University Foundation, Meta Visible Foundation, Volunteer Optometrists of Colombia, the Food Bank and Colombian National Army who joined together in order to provide specialized medical assistance and happiness to these people.
In this activity, people benefited from specialties such as physiotherapy, dentistry, optometry with distribution of prescribed lenses, cytology, family medicine, dermatology and endocrinology, among others. In the same way, psychological counseling and medication distribution services were provided.
Simultaneously, agro producers of Meta provided their products at the farmer's market that was held in the same place at the Felicidad School in the village of Barcelona, where attendees could find the best quality directly from the hands of the farmers of the region.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force, with the important inter-institutional support of public and private institutions, come together to generate the comprehensive development of the communities that need it most, providing well-being and economic progress to the villages.
