The first Binational Development Support Activity 2023 successfully ended in Leticia, coordinated by the Comprehensive Action section of the Amazon Air Group, GAAMA, where different comprehensive health services were provided to all civilians.
The activity, which took place at the Sacred Heart of Jesus School began on Saturday morning, with an opening ceremony that counted of the presence of the National Police, National Navy, el Minuto de Dios Corporation, Blue Painted Hands Foundation, Bolivar Insurances, Colsubsidio and National Army of the Federal Republic of Brazil; institutions that complemented this great activity in the extreme south of the country.
鈥淭hat is why and first of all I want to express my total gratitude to those in the activity, to those institutions that complement this great cause today.... strengthening and reaffirming even more the ties that unite us and make us one: one goal, one dream... one heart." These were some of the words evoked by Colonel Jair Ramiro Ocampo Bustos, Commander of the GAAMA, during the protocol ceremony.
In this activity, which ended at noon this Sunday, June 11, it was possible to benefit more than nine hundred people in specialties such as general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, nutrition, speech therapy, physical therapy, dentistry, psychology, nursing, optometry, cytology and pharmacy.
On the other hand, there were recreational activities, games and face painting that made the children's hearts happy during the activity. Once the appointment was over, people could access donations that were given by the El Minuto de Dios Corporation.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force, through the Amazon Air Group, reiterates its commitment to continue carrying out activities of great impact to the inhabitants, contributing to improve the health, well-being and tranquility of the most vulnerable communities in the Amazon region.
