President Iván Duque presented this Wednesday to the country, in the Military Fort of Tolemaida, the new "Defense and Security Policy for Legality, Entrepreneurship and Equity", to protect all the inhabitants of Colombia and preserve good physical conditions of the people in the territory (see https://bit.ly/2Gs2rs3).
As part of the event, no less than 3,000 members of the Military and Police Forces demonstrated the operational and tactical capabilities of the different branches and specialties.
The President was accompanied by the Minister of National Defense, Guillermo Botero Gil; the Security Adviser, Rafael Guarín; the general commander of the Military Forces, General Luis Fernando Navarro; the commander of the National Army, General Nicacio de Jesús Martínez; the commander of the National Navy, Vice Admiral Evelio Ramírez; the commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramses Rueda; and the general director of the National Police, General Óscar Atehortúa.
