Department of Antioquia. From the sky the inhabitants of the hamlet Santa Inés, in the municipality of El Carmen de Viboral, Department of Antioquia, received the necessary materials to build a school. Around 16.5 tons, were transported in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the Air Combat Command No. 5 of the Air Force.
The expertise of the crew was essential to reach the mountains that are part of the Santo Domingo river canyon, distant lands which can be reached by mule or on foot.
The materials were transported to finish the school of the sector, which will in the same way become the community center serving the hamlets of Santa Rita, Santa Inés, Mirasol and Morros, providing spaces for recreation, integration and learning for the inhabitants of these villages.
The Colombian Air Force continues to fulfill its mission to serve the vulnerable communities of the department and the country.
