Air Combat Command No.4 personnel welcomed a Guatemalan delegation made up of military officers who arrived in Colombia to learn more about the Colombian Air Force.
In the facilities of the Air Combat Command No. 4, CACOM 4, a military delegation from Guatemala who are part of the Superior War Course, was received to show the capabilities of the Colombian Air Force in this part of the country and also to maintain international relations with partner countries.
At the start of the visit, Colonel Pedro Vega, Second Commander and Chief of Staff of CACOM4, welcomed this delegation and expressed his pride in having such distinguished staff in the cradle of the Colombian helicopter pilots, which becomes the opportunity to exchange knowledge with allied countries for territorial security and geostrategic enriching experience.
During their tour by the Unit, they visited the facilities of the Technical Group, where through static exhibitions of aircraft, equipment and simulators of artillery and flight they know the mission that is being fulfilled and the capabilities of the air base.
In the same way, the delegation learned about the essential work that the Air Bases Security and Defense Group do, the maneuvers carried out by Personnel Recovery group to carry out rescue missions and aeromedical evacuations; in addition the saw the training of dogs for detection of drugs and explosives, among others.
The School of Helicopters of the Military Forces, was one of the centers of attention to the visiting personnel since young Guatemalan helicopters pilots have trained there, under excellent academic standards with international recognition.
