The Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM in Bogotá, complements the comprehensive strategy of the Mayor's Office of Funza, to strengthen the security of citizens in different sectors of this municipality of Cundinamarca.
In response to the results and evaluations during the security councils of Funza, in which the Military Transport Air Command participates, zones were established on which efforts are focused to prevent the materialization of possible criminal acts aimed at the citizens residing in this municipality, thus improving the perception of security of its inhabitants.
This is how CATAM sent men and women of the specialty of Security and Defense of Air Bases, to carry out daily and night land patrols periodically, where reconnaissance, surveillance and control of strategic points of Funza are carried out, in a joint, coordinated and interagency work with the National Police and the local authority.
Simultaneously, during the military operations and control and patrols, CATAM in the same way approaches the community, sharing preventive measures in criminal situations and providing contact numbers to report any suspicious act that may threaten the physical condition of citizens.
