As part of the official visit in Colombia, General of the Air-Arturo Merino Núñez Commander-in-Chief of the Chilean Air Force, accompanied by the General Ramses Rueda, Commander of the Colombian Air Force (FAC), have made geostrategic visits in different Air Units of the FAC, with the purpose of sharing experiences and knowledge that will help to strengthen ties of cooperation by the two Air Forces, in fulfillment of the institutional mission for the security and defense of their nations and citizens.
In the framework of the bilateral relations with the Air Force of Chile, this is the first visit in the country of the most important representative of this ally Air Force in the region. It was carried out from 20 to 23 April 2022 in Colombia. He was accompanied by colonel Ivan Anfossi Diaz Air force representative of Chile in Colombia and the Commander of Group (A) Ignacio Baeza Muñoz.
One of the main purposes is to project Operational resources, around an environment of opportunities and challenges, which will led to increase interoperability, good practices in terms of techniques, tactics and procedures in doctrine, training and instruction.
In a space of dialogue the Commanders reiterated the willingness and commitment to continue promoting reciprocity and exchange of knowledge and experiences in different areas of aeronautics, such as: training of pilots and crews of the FACH, training of staff of the Colombian Air Force air defence, operations in the antarctic territory, so as to provide well-being, security, peace of mind and confidence to citizens of both countries.
